Resend homepage, decoded: a serif headline in the dark
A huge serif headline on near-black, a dim dimensional image beside it, and a calm bordered panel for trust further down.

What this is, and what it is not
This is iter0's independent analysis of the Resend homepage as we captured it on 2 Oct 2026, at a 1440px desktop width and a 390px phone width. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or written with Resend. Everything below comes from a design spec we already hold for the page: its measurements, its layout and what the capture did and did not show. There are no screenshots, logos or marketing copy from Resend here, and a live site can change at any time.
The big idea of the hero
The hero is full-bleed near-black with a 96px display serif headline, a small announcement pill, an 18px grey paragraph and two 48px actions. A dimensional visual, shown at 80% opacity, sits to the right of the text on desktop. The spec calls the archetype photo-led, but says the exact visible crop of the image is not established, so only its low-contrast role is reliable.
The navigation choice
A sticky 58px header with a transparent background sits on the dark page. The identity is at the left, destination links begin at about x=420, and two actions sit at the right: a quiet one with a transparent border and an emphasised one with a faint light gradient, a thin border and a 25px background blur. Both have 16px radii. The nav text is 14px and grey.
The signature component
The signature is a restrained trust panel: a 1280px by 567px bordered panel with a 24px radius, a short 18px introduction in muted grey, two rows of six marks in light tones, and one centred follow-up action 197px by 48px. There are no coloured tiles or flourishes. The spec cautions to use approved or licensed marks and never to fabricate endorsements.
Type and colour decisions
The headline is a display serif at 96px with 96px line height; support text is a sans at 18px with 27px line height in muted grey (RGB 161,164,165). The announcement has a restrained multicolour border with a dark inner surface (RGB 11,14,20). Actions stay dark and subdued; there is no bright accent.
What changes on a phone
At 390px the visual sits above the announcement pill, the headline falls to 64px, and the paragraph becomes 16px. The two actions stack, each 342px wide and 48px high, and the header gets a 44px menu button. The spec does not give the phone image size or crop, so it does not prescribe one.
What the capture does not tell us
The spec records a 0.5s opacity transition on a hero image and a 30-second rotation on the announcement border, but nothing else about interaction. The individual mark sizes in the trust panel are not measured.
What to steal (the pattern, not the look)
A serif headline against a dark ground gives a developer product a bookish, trustworthy voice without adding any decoration. Group your proof into one bordered panel with a single follow-up action instead of scattering logos through the page.
Get the free Resend design spec
We keep a longer craft spec for this page: hero, navigation and signature component, with the measured sizes, a list of what not to copy and checks you can run. It is free to download as a Markdown file, and you can use it as a pattern guide for your own site. It describes layout and proportion, so use your own name, wording and imagery. If you want a site built around the same pattern, give the spec to iter0 and it will build you an original page from it.
Put the brief into practice
A launch page should make the buyer, promise, proof, and next action obvious. iter0 uses this same standard when it turns a brief or reference site into a builder-ready page.
