iter0 vs Framer: a launch page or a site on a canvas

Pick Framer if a designer will keep shaping the live site on a visual canvas, with a CMS and your own domain on the same platform. Pick iter0 if you need help deciding what the site should say before anyone designs it. Given the same brief on a free plan, Framer produced a tidy first draft, then the workspace ran out of credits before the second brief. The screenshots are below.

Which to choose

When each tool is the better choice.

Choose Framer when

  • Your team wants to keep designing and editing the live site on a visual canvas, with components, breakpoints, and effects.

  • You need CMS content, managed hosting, SEO controls, and analytics in the same platform where the site is designed.

  • A designer will own the site after launch and wants Framer Agents to generate or edit selected sections in place.

Choose iter0 when

  • Nobody has agreed what the headline should promise or which proof belongs on the page, and you want Launch CEO to settle that before anyone designs a section.

  • You want to start from your current public website and pick the builder mode for the job: Clone or Extract + Design.

  • You want the finished page as a standalone HTML file you can read, keep, and host outside Framer.

Using both

Use iter0 to decide the page, then build it in Framer

If you expect to run the site in Framer, iter0 can still come first. Build a launch page in iter0 and edit it until the headline, sections, and primary action are right; that page becomes the approved brief. Framer's help centre says its Agents accept reference images such as screenshots, wireframes, and sketches, and that selecting a section on the canvas keeps the Agent's changes inside it. You can therefore rebuild the page in Framer one section at a time, each from a screenshot of the approved version. iter0 has no Framer export, so check the copy, spacing, and phone layout against the approved page before you rely on Framer's CMS, hosting, and analytics for the ongoing site.

Framer and iter0: common questions

Is iter0 a Framer alternative?

Framer combines AI generation with a visual canvas, CMS, managed hosting, SEO controls, and analytics, which suits teams that want one place to design and run the site. iter0 builds one editable HTML page per build, and a saved page can become a multi-page site. It can publish each site at its own <name>.iter0.app address (your plan sets how many can be live at once) and has no CMS. It can replace Framer for a small launch site. For a custom domain on the same platform, or to keep designing a live site visually, choose Framer.

Can I move my iter0 page into Framer?

Not directly, because iter0 has no Framer export. You can copy the final text from the iter0 page and give Framer Agents a screenshot of each section as a reference image. Then compare the Framer version with the approved page at desktop and phone widths before you publish it.

Which is better for a founder without a designer, Framer or iter0?

If you can describe the page and want to shape it visually yourself, Framer's canvas and Agents give you that control. You edit the page's title, headings, and copy in the builder. If you host the downloaded HTML yourself, you set up the domain, redirects, and analytics with that host.
