Durable alternatives: 9 website builders compared on cost, bookings and export
Durable bundles a website, a customer list and bookings for $22 a month on a yearly plan. Wix and B12 are the closest swaps if you want that bundle somewhere else. Squarespace, Framer and Webflow are better editors. Hostinger and 10Web are the cheapest hosted options. Lovable builds web apps, and iter0 builds a launch page you can download as HTML. We worked out what a year on your own domain costs on each one, and what you can take with you if you leave.

The short answer
Start with the part of Durable you'd miss most. If it's the bookings and the customer list, move to a builder that has them. If it's just the website, you have a lot more choice and most of it is cheaper.
- You want the same bundle somewhere else: Wix (Core plan and up has scheduling) or B12 (its Client Engagement plan adds a contact manager, client intake, contracts and invoicing).
- You care most about how the site looks: Squarespace, or Framer if you want to design it yourself.
- You want the lowest price for a hosted site: Hostinger Website Builder, if you're happy paying for four years up front, or 10Web on a yearly plan.
- Someone on the team will keep editing the site every week: Webflow or Framer.
- The website is part of a web app with logins and data: Lovable.
- You sell software and need one launch page you can take anywhere: iter0.
- You run a local service business and Durable already works for you: stay. None of the tools here lists bookings and a customer list on one plan for less.
What you're replacing when you leave Durable
Durable's pricing page lists three plans. Free gets you a website preview, 300 AI credits in total and a CRM for up to 10 customers. Launch is $22 a month on yearly billing or $25 on monthly, and adds hosting, custom forms, analytics, custom code, a CRM with unlimited customers, "Unlimited booking, synced to your calendar", 1000 AI credits a month and a domain you connect or register free, up to a $20 value. Grow is $41 a month yearly or $49 monthly and adds unlimited team members, translation, 5000 AI credits a month and a $40 domain credit.
So a Durable site on Launch is four things: a hosted website, a customer list, a booking calendar and a pile of AI credits for writing. Most alternatives below only replace the first one. That's fine if you never used the other three. If you did, check the bookings column in the tables before you move.
The free plan is a private preview on a durable.site subdomain. Durable's AI website builder page says you need a paid plan to connect or buy a custom domain.
Nine Durable alternatives at a glance
One row per tool. Prices are in US dollars and come from each vendor's own pricing page. The source links are at the bottom.

What a year on your own domain costs
We took the cheapest plan on each tool that lets the site run on your own domain, and worked out what you pay for the first 12 months. Where a tool offers yearly billing we used it, because that's how most of these prices are advertised.
Read the "Domain" column too. Some plans throw in the first year of a domain, and some don't, so add the price of a .com where it says "Not included". Wix lists a .com renewal at $13.35 a year, which is a fair guide.
| Tool and plan | How it's billed | First 12 months | Domain | What changes after year one |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| iter0 Hobby | $5 a month | $60 for the builder. Hosting and domain are yours to add. | Not included. You put the HTML on a static host and point your domain at that host. | Same price |
| Hostinger Premium | $119.52 for 48 months, paid up front | $119.52 on day one, which covers all 48 months ($29.88 a year) | Free for the first year | Renews at $10.99 a month once the term ends |
| Framer Basic | $10 a month, billed yearly | $120 | Free on yearly billing | Same price |
| 10Web AI Starter | $10 a month, billed yearly | $120 | First domain free, up to $30 | The page lists a regular yearly price of $240 |
| Webflow Basic | $15 a month, billed yearly | $180 | Not included | Same price |
| Wix Light | $17 a month, paid yearly up front | $204 | Free for the first year (new domains only) | A .com renews at $13.35 a year |
| Squarespace Basic | $19 a month, billed annually | $228 | Free for the first year on annual plans | Same price. $25 a month if you pay monthly. |
| Lovable Pro | $250 a year | $250 | Not included | Same price. $25 a month if you pay monthly. |
| Durable Launch | $22 a month, billed yearly | $264 | Connect or register free, up to $20 | Same price. $25 a month if you pay monthly. |
| B12 Website | $24 a month | $288 | Free for the first year | Same price |
Which tool replaces each part of Durable
If you used Durable for more than the website, this is the table to check. "Not on the plan list" means the vendor's pricing page doesn't list it for that plan, so you'd add a separate tool such as Calendly or Acuity and link to it from the site.
| Tool | Hosted website | Customer list | Bookings | Invoicing or payments |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Durable Launch | Yes | Built-in CRM, unlimited customers | Unlimited, synced to your calendar | Not on the plan list |
| Wix Core | Yes | Not on the plan list | Scheduling and services | Basic eCommerce |
| Squarespace Basic | Yes | Not on the plan list | Acuity Scheduling, separate subscription | Online store, 2% fee on Basic |
| Hostinger Premium | Yes | Not on the plan list | Not on the plan list | Ecommerce from the Unlimited plan |
| B12 Website + Client Engagement ($78/mo) | Yes | Contact manager | Not on the plan list | Online payments and invoicing |
| 10Web AI Starter | Yes, on WordPress | Through WordPress plugins | Through WordPress plugins | Ecommerce dashboard |
| Framer, Webflow, Lovable, iter0 | Framer, Webflow and Lovable host it. iter0 publishes at <name>.iter0.app or hands you the HTML. | Add your own | Add your own | Add your own |
Wix: the closest all-in-one swap
Wix is the obvious move if you want one login for the site and the bookings. The free plan runs on a wixsite.com address with Wix branding, and Wix's own blog says it can show ads. Paid plans start at Light, which Wix's own pricing guide lists at $17 a month on a yearly subscription paid in full.
The catch for a Durable user is that Light doesn't list scheduling. You need Core at $29 a month for "Scheduling and services" and basic eCommerce, so a like-for-like swap for Durable Launch costs $348 for the year, not $204.
The bigger catch is leaving. Wix's help centre says your site "needs to be hosted and operated on Wix's servers" and that its setup "does not support external hosting". Your domain can be transferred away from Wix, but the site stays.
Go with Wix if you want bookings and a store in one place and you're not planning to move again.
Squarespace: better templates, bookings cost extra
Squarespace has four plans. Basic is $19 a month paid annually or $25 monthly, Core is $29 or $39, Plus is $49 or $65 and Advanced is $99 or $139. Annual plans include a free domain for the first year. There's no free plan, just a 14-day trial with no card needed.
Bookings are a separate product. Acuity Scheduling has its own Starter, Standard and Advanced plans, and its page says you don't need a Squarespace site to use it. Budget for both if you take bookings now.
Basic also takes a 2% fee on online store sales. Core and up drop that to 0%.
Export is partial. Squarespace exports one WordPress .xml file with your layout pages, one blog and your text and image blocks. Store pages, page-specific headers and footers, product and video blocks, style settings and custom CSS don't come with it.
If the look matters most and you don't mind paying for bookings on the side, it's a good pick.
Hostinger Website Builder: cheapest if you pay up front
Hostinger's headline price is $2.49 a month for the Premium plan. That price needs a 48-month term paid on day one, which is $119.52. When the term ends it renews at $10.99 a month. Premium covers up to 3 websites and a free domain for the first year. There's a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Hostinger now has two builders. The classic builder can send your pages, text and images to a WordPress site, but its help page says styles, layout, the online store, forms and SEO settings don't come across. The newer AI Builder, in agentic mode, exports a React and Vite project as a ZIP, Hostinger says you have to build it before it'll run on ordinary shared hosting, and backend data stays in AI Builder.
It's the cheap option, as long as four years up front doesn't worry you.
B12: the one built around client work
B12 is closest to Durable in spirit. Its free plan runs on a b12sites.com address with 5 AI credits a day, up to 30 a month. The Website plan is $24 a month with a custom domain free for the first year and 100 AI credits a month. Website + Client Engagement is $78 a month and adds a contact manager, client intake, contracts with eSignature, email marketing and a custom email address. B12's FAQ says that plan includes online payments and invoicing. New users can pay $1 for the first 7 days on either paid plan.
Scheduling isn't in either plan's feature list, so check that before you move a booking-heavy business across.
B12 is also a closed system. Its help centre says "B12 does not offer a way to download a local backup of your website", and that the site won't work properly if it's hosted outside B12.
Worth a look for consultants who want contracts and invoices next to the site.
10Web: an AI builder that gives you WordPress
10Web builds the site with AI, then hands you a normal WordPress install. Every plan includes the full WordPress CMS, SFTP and SSH access, daily backups and a staging site. AI Starter is $10 a month on a yearly plan ($120 a year, against a listed regular price of $240) for one website, 100 AI credits a month and a free first domain up to $30. AI Premium is $15 a month for two sites and AI Ultimate is $22.50 for four.
You can start building for free. Every paid plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee, which stops applying once you claim the free domain.
Because it's WordPress, bookings, forms and a customer list come from plugins rather than from 10Web itself. It's more setup than Durable, but you can move the whole site to any WordPress host later.
Framer: the designer's pick
Framer is a visual editor where you control every pixel. The free plan gives you a Framer domain, 1 GB of bandwidth and 500 AI credits to try. Basic is $10 a month with yearly billing for 30 pages and 1000 AI credits a month. Pro is $30 a month for 150 pages. Framer's comparison table says a domain is included free on yearly billing.
There are no bookings or customer list. You'd add a scheduler and a form tool. Framer hosts the site, and its help centre says every published site is standard HTML, CSS, JavaScript and static assets that you can download and move to any host. CMS content exports as CSV or JSON through plugins.
Good fit if you or a designer will spend real time on the look.
Webflow: for a site someone edits every week
Webflow gives you the most control of the editors here, and takes the longest to learn. The free Starter plan publishes to a webflow.io address with 2 static pages, 1 GB of bandwidth and 50 form submissions. Basic is $15 a month billed yearly and adds your own domain. Premium is $25 a month billed yearly.
Webflow sells code export as part of its Core workspace plan, $19 a month billed yearly, on top of the site plan, so an exportable Webflow site is $15 plus $19 a month. Webflow's FAQ says CMS content exports collection by collection and forms stop working once the code runs elsewhere.
Choose it when a marketer will own the site.
Lovable: when the site is an app
Lovable is an AI software builder, not a website builder in the Durable sense. Its pricing FAQ calls it "an AI software engineer, which enables anyone to build for the web". Free gives you 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month. Pro starts at $25 a month for 100 credits, or $250 a year. Business starts at $50 a month. Custom domains and code download start on Pro, and GitHub sync is on every plan.
For a cleaner or a coach, that's more tool than you need. For a founder whose site needs sign-ups, logins and a database behind it, it's the right category.
iter0: a launch page you can take anywhere
iter0 is for software founders who need one strong launch page and don't have a marketer. You chat with Launch CEO, which asks about your buyer, offer and proof, then you pick one of three designs and iter0 builds it. Free is $0 with 3 credits a month, Hobby is $5 a month for 15 credits and Pro is $25 a month for 100. A page build is 1 credit, an AI edit is half a credit, and manual edits are free.
iter0 can publish each site at its own <name>.iter0.app address (your plan sets how many can be live at once). You can also download the HTML, or a ZIP for a multi-page site, or have iter0 open a pull request in your GitHub repo. That download is a plain static site, so it runs on any static host and you point your own domain at it.
If you're a local business that takes bookings, Wix or B12 further up this page is the closer fit.
Use it if you sell software and want a page you own outright.
Can you take your site with you?
Check this before you build anything. This is what each vendor's own help pages say you can take.
- Durable: customer contacts as a CSV from the Contacts dashboard. We found no way to download the site itself.
- Wix: the site can't leave. Wix says it has to run on Wix's servers. Your domain can be transferred away.
- Squarespace: one WordPress .xml file with pages, one blog and text and image blocks. No store pages, styles or custom CSS.
- Hostinger: page content to WordPress from the classic builder, or a React and Vite project from the agentic AI Builder.
- B12: no download. B12 says the site won't work properly if hosted outside B12.
- 10Web: it's WordPress, with SFTP and SSH on every plan, so you can move the whole site to another WordPress host.
- Framer: its help centre says you can download the published site as HTML, CSS and JavaScript and move it to any host. CMS content exports as CSV or JSON through plugins.
- Webflow: code export on the Core workspace plan. CMS content exports by collection and forms stop working.
- Lovable: GitHub sync on every plan, code download on paid plans.
- iter0: HTML download, a ZIP for multi-page sites, or a pull request in your GitHub repo.
How we checked
Every price and feature here comes from the vendor's own pricing page or help centre, and each one is linked in the sources below. We didn't use review sites for prices, because they go stale fast. The date at the top of the page is when we last checked them all.
All prices are in US dollars. For first-year cost we used the cheapest plan that lets the site run on your own domain, and the yearly billing price where the vendor offers one. Hostinger's entry price needs a 48-month term, so we show what you pay on day one and what that works out to a year. We didn't count promo codes, discounts for students or nonprofits, or add-on apps.
"Not on the plan list" means the vendor's pricing page doesn't list that feature for the plan. It doesn't mean you can't add it with another tool.
Prices on these pages change a few times a year. If you're about to pay, open the vendor's pricing link below and check it against the table.
Put the brief into practice
A launch page should make the buyer, promise, proof, and next action obvious. iter0 uses this same standard when it turns a brief or reference site into a builder-ready page.
