Website cloning vs redesign: which starting point do you need?
A reference page and your business website serve different purposes. Choose the right workflow, preserve what matters and review the result before replacing anything.

A clone reconstructs what a visitor can see
A website cloner uses a rendered page as a starting point for an editable reconstruction. It can help you study hierarchy, spacing and content structure. It does not recover the original application's source repository or recreate a private database. A checkout-shaped section is still only a design until connected to working commerce services.
A redesign changes how your business is presented
For a redesign, the important source is the business you already have: services, products, people, proof, contact details and useful URLs. A separate design reference suggests a visual direction. In Iter0, Extract + Design is the route for supplying those two inputs. Identify exact logo assets and wording that must survive, and inspect the generated result against them.
Choose the workflow by the missing input
If you need to understand a layout, start with the reference. If you already have a business page but need clearer presentation, start with a redesign brief. If you are launching something new and have no source content, work through the audience and offer with Launch CEO first. The same attractive reference can lead to several different pages because the business problem changes.
- Study a design: provide the public reference and specify what to inspect.
- Refresh an existing business: provide the current site, the design reference and preservation requirements.
- Launch a new offer: establish the buyer, proof and primary action before generating a page.
Keep borrowed proof out of the result
Common page patterns are useful references. Another business's identity and claims are not your evidence. Replace logos, testimonials, results, imagery and contact information with material you can use. When a reference has proof you do not yet possess, choose a different section: a real product demonstration, an explanation of the workflow or a transparent statement about the launch stage.
A redesign needs a URL plan
Before deployment, inventory the pages people already visit. If a URL changes, map it to the relevant replacement and test the redirect. Keep internal links and canonical URLs consistent. Google advises planning URL mapping and monitoring a site move; a new design does not by itself preserve search visibility. Do not redirect every old page to a generic homepage when a useful equivalent exists.
Accept the result in two parts
First compare the content: names, offers, sources, logo and actions. Then compare the experience: readable desktop and phone layouts, working navigation, forms and external destinations. A clone can look convincing while its links still point to the reference. A redesign can look new while losing the page that previously answered a customer's most important question.

A launch page should make the buyer, promise, proof, and next action obvious. Iter0 uses this same standard when it turns a brief or reference site into a builder-ready page.
